Before I knew I had rectal cancer and thought it was diverticulosis I started taking glutamine along with drinking celery juice. Both helped immensely. After I received my diagnosis, I started reading Jane McLelland's "How to Starve Cancer". She said that glutamine is an energy source for cancer. Yikes! I immediately stopped, but recently my naturopath told me it was ok to take during chemo to help with belly issues. I still needed to avoid when I wasn't taking chemo. Here's what Memorial Sloan Kettering says. https://www.mskcc.org/blog/beyond-sugar-what-cancer-cells-need-grow
